Tuấn Mami

Born in 1981 and graduated from the Việt Nam University of Fine Arts in 2006, Tuấn Mami is a Hà Nội-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans across installation, video, performance and conceptual art. His work often utilises site-specificity and re-constructional concepts to question the degrading state of society, the social interactions between art and people, and the complex correlation between human needs and natural resources.

In 2012, Tuấn Mami founded MAC-Hanoi, a Mobile Art Centre, and he co-founded Nhà Sàn Collective in 2013. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, art events and residencies, both at home and abroad including In.Visible Borderline (MetaHouse Art Space, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 2016), Plastic Myths (Asia Culture Center, Gwangju, South Korea, 2015), Skylines with Flying people 1 (Rory Gill Fine Art Gallery, London, UK, 2011) and Skylines with Flying people 2 (Hà Nội, Việt Nam, 2012) etc.
